In a 60’s London fur salon, Crouch struggles to keep things on an even keel despite the energetic philandering of his partner Bodley who is trying to secure the affections of his latest would-be mistress. Suspicious wives, mistaken identities, scantily clad women and a continuous barrage of rapid fire jokes all become part of the hilarious doings until the story miraculously manages to work out in the end or does it?

Just a year after the Curtain Club hosted the Theatre Ontario Festival in Richmond Hill, we are taking our production of The December Man to represent ACT-CO at the Theatre Ontario Festival next month in Sault Ste. Marie on May 19, 2012. Check out the Theatre Ontario Festival website.

ACT-CO Gala

We bring home the best!

April 14th was an exciting night at the ACT-CO Gala. Congratulations to ACT-CO on a well organized and well planned evening.

Here is a brief summary of how we did:

We had 3 shows adjudicated this year: December Man (Drama); Welfarewell (Comedy) and Willow Quartet (Drama). The Festival had a total of 10 Dramas and 21 Comedies entered into Festival.

We were awarded a total of 16 nominations and 5 wins…. Here is the breakdown!

Many of our friends from Theatre Aurora, Markham Little Theatre, Whitby, Amicus, East Side Players and many more were deservedly recognized for all their achievements as well.
